About

Hannah Plumb, founder of MBHR Solutions, has more than 12 years experience working on labour migration, business and human rights and international development. Her career has seen her live and work in Australia, Vietnam and Switzerland and engage and support business across the world.

Prior to MBHR Solutions, Hannah worked on the development and roll out of the International Organization for Migration’s two flagship initiatives with the private sector: IRIS: Ethical Recruitment and IOM’s Corporate Responsibility in Eliminating Slavery and Trafficking initiative (now known as MBHR Asia). During this time, Hannah was responsible for developing training programs, tools and resources on ethical recruitment and migrant worker rights. She trained labour recruiters, employers, buyers, and IOM staff across Southeast Asia, South Asia, Kenya, Canada and Mauritius.

Hannah has also worked for the Office of the Australian Anti-Slavery Commissioner, Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Attorney-General’s Department.

Services

Hannah specialises in supporting business to respect the human and labour rights of migrant workers in operations and supply chains. She focuses on all stages of the labour migration process. Her areas of expertise include:

  • Human rights due diligence that captures and addresses the risks to migrant workers
  • Migrant sensitive grievance mechanisms and remediation programs
  • Migrant worker voice and empowerment
  • Developing training, tools and resources for business of all sizes (SMEs to MNEs)
